The 29th chapter of the Quran is titled Surah al-Ankabut, or The Spider. There are 69 verses (ayat) in this Meccan surah. Themes of faith, hardship, and the need of trusting in Allah are covered in this surah. "Al-Ankabut" refers to the spider that is described in verse 41 and symbolizes the weakness of depending on anyone but Allah.
